What a great wrap up to this years IT Lounge for the Toronto Film Festival!

The doors are now closed for the 2009 IT Lounge but what an exciting week with 96 celebrity visits to the IT Lounge to lend their support, and for each of those visits, a special donation will be made to the 12 charities. Today, acclaimed director, Terry Gillian paid a visit just before the 2009 IT Lounge closed its doors. On the final afternoon, he stopped in to sign a teddy bear that will be donated by Sharpie to Big Brothers and Big Sisters for auction.

And as the IT Lounge bids farewell to our most impactful festival yet, we offer gracious thanks to all of our celebrity guests and are pleased to announce:

The donations
· Brooks will donate 96 pairs of children’s running shoes to the Kidsfest Running and Reading Club.
· Fila will donate 96 Function fitness packs to ParticipACTION’s youth physical activity program Sogo Active.
· Goody will auction off 96 Ouchless Flex Headbands, each one signed by the celebrity guests of the IT Lounge and
 100% of proceeds will be donated to Girls on the Run.
· J.Rox generated much awareness for the Ooch Bracelet that is being sold for the month of September at Finn
 boutique in Yorkville. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to Camp Oochigeas for children with cancer.
· Kiehl’s will donate 96 pieces of sports equipment to Camp Oochigeas for its new “Ooch in the City” project, a
 recreation centre in downtown Toronto for kids battling cancer.
· Dr. Penny Kendall-Reed and the Penny Protein Plan will donate her new healthy treats to Camp Oochigeas, to be
 enjoyed for a weekend by the kids and volunteers.
· Please Mum will donate 96 outfits to children in need in a developing country in Africa through World Vision.
· Richart Chocolate will make a contribution to the Sick Kids Foundation with a specially made Richart gift basket.
· Sharpie will donate 96 teddy bears – each one signed by the 96 celebrity visitors – to Big Brothers Big Sisters for
 auction where 100% of proceeds will go back to the charity.
· SoU! has created the SoU! Foundation that now receives five percent of SoU! profits to support environmental
causes.
· Teva Canada will volunteer 96 hours of community service to its local Waterkeeper Alliance watershed.
· Universal Music distributed 96 IT Music from the IT Lounge: Give IT Back CDs that will help to raise awareness and
 funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.
